District No Cost PreSchool: Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year

The Plainville Community Schools Preschool Program is excited to offer a pilot school year (2021-2022) of preschool programming for children who will be four (4) years of age by 12/31/21 AT NO COST TO FAMILIES as a result of COVID-19 grant relief funding for school districts. We will begin accepting registrations on Monday, March 15, 2021 through our Central Registration Office. This NAEYC accredited preschool program is designed to prepare students for the transition to kindergarten at age five (5).

PHS Theater Club Refurbishes Choral Room

The Plainville High School Theater Unlimited Club voted to refurbish the high school’s Choral Room (Room 403) into a black box theater. Under the guidance of faculty members TJ Riccardo, Todd Helming, Dave Gaignard and Facilities Director Steve Busel, the students are painting the presentation space, building a light and sound booth, adding projection, digital sound and digital lighting.

PHS Science National Honor Society Supports Those in Need

The Plainville High School Science National Honor Society, lead by faculty member and group advisor John Girard, collected $370 and donated food items, Gnazzo Food Center gift cards, and funds to the Plainville Community Food Pantry before the school's winter break, to support local residents in need over the winter months.
