The Plainville school district has been recognized with several awards from the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE), according to Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage.
The Plainville Board of Education received the CABE Board Recognition Award. This awards program was created in 1998 to recognize excellence in the leadership activities of local boards of education. This is the 13th consecutive year that the Plainville Board of Education has received this award. The group will be recognized at the 2022 CABE/CAPSS Convention in November.

“I’m very proud to see our Board of Education being recognized by CABE once again. Being a Board member is often a thankless position, and that has been truer in recent years than ever. Given that this is a volunteer position requiring many hours and much dedication, it is great that they are being recognized. I am also incredibly proud to see many members of Plainville’s leadership team (14 total awards, more than any other district) receiving recognition for their committed and creative communication efforts. The awards themselves are less important than what they stand for; they are another indicator that Plainville is moving toward our visionary goal of becoming THE Model School District in the State of Connecticut,” noted Superintendent LePage.
