Seventh grade students in Mrs. Meehan's Art classes at the Middle School of Plainville are learning the importance of resilience through art. The students learned about the life of artist Vincent Van Gogh, and his perseverance in art making, despite a life of hardship and struggles. Using Oil pastels, Mrs. Meehan's students each created their own impressionistic landscape. Like Van Gogh, they practiced perseverance and resilience as they faced unique challenges in the interpretation and creation of their work.
